Code Request - Can any VCDS Guru help?

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm asking for a friend who has an Audi A3 170 TDi (2007). He wants to turn on cornering fog lights and coming home lights via VCDS but we cannot get it working. I was hoping one of you VCDS guru's would know how to do this?

I take it you have looked through the long coding?

miss post sorry

2007 may be too old for cornering lights, but as Eddie said, if it is possible it will become obvious when you look in the long coding helper.

Thanks Guy's, I appreciate you taking the time to reply. I did check the ross-tech page, but they didn't switch on. The option is there, but don't know if i'm missing something. Will take another look tonight

Thanks for your input, I have got the cornering lights running. I can't get the coming home lights to work, but he has no sensor. Thnaks again

if there's no sensor then it won't work

Coming home should work, but obviously they will also come on when it is daylight as well.

I must not be setting all the bits right in the long code helper. Will have another bash over the weekend

I'll happily be proven wrong by Gizmo but I have never managed to get this to work on a car with no sensor - and we have a MkVI Golf and a VW T5 in the household that I've tried it on. If you work out hwo to do it then let me know and I will try those two again :sun:

I have coded at least 3 cars for CH lights without Auto lights (no sensor) a 57 plate TT just last week, an A4 a few years ago and RainbowFire’s MKII Octavia (IIRC he needed to add a loom for his to work).

So it clearly will work on some controllers.

I am also looking at a 2006 A4 cabriolet in a few days to activate CC and CH lights (no sensor)

Did they need the Auto lights switch or just vcds changes?

The Audi’s just had coding done, no hardware changes at all.

Not sure about the Octavia.

Wire and a switch ;) Took longer for me to fit those than it did for Gizmo to code ;)

I should be able to do a scan in a day or so, so you can have the controller details if it would help.

Thag would be great thanks
