MDI question?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if the new Samsung Note II is compatible with MDI?

I bought a Micro MDI cable on Ebay, the phone is detected as the display correctly shows the phone model number, but i recieve "device without function" on the Screen after it tries to initialize.

Can't seem to find any information on if it works or how to set it up anywhere.

If it doesnt work i will have to resort to my Iphone again

any information is much appreciated.

May not be the answer as I don't have either but are your phones PC connections set to mass storage? Maybe it thinks your trying to connect via the Samsung Kies software?

A Samsung doesn't connect in the same way a USB stick does. It's not seen as a mass-storage device. :|

Ahhh... it was just a thought as with my Samsung I have to change the communication settings depending upon how I want to work with it on my laptop...

I've got a 16Gb USB stick on mine, with the control etc mounted (well, more like chucked) under the passenger seat ;) ;)
