Wheel Spacer help

Featured Replies

Afternoon all,

Looking to use this website (seems super cheap, anyone used them?) www.carparts-tuning.co.uk

I want to space the rear by 20mm, would these be all that I need? http://www.carparts-tuning.co.uk/en/Promotion-sale-items/Wheel-Spacers-Promotion/Wheel-Spacers/Spurverbreiterung-Distanzscheibe-System-A-20-mm-Skoda-Fabia-1-6Y.html

http://www.carparts-tuning.co.uk/en/Wheel-Spacers/Wheel-bolts/Wheel-bolts-Set-10-pieces-M12-x-1-5-21-short-head.html

Any reasons why I shouldn't space the rear etc?

Thanks

Those spacers require longer wheels bolts as they dont bolt onto the hub, where as ones that bolt onto the hub would need the shorter head wheel bolts, youll be needing longer wheel bolts in order to go through your wheel and the spacer, if that makes any sense?

I'm with you, fancy linking me up lol?

something along the lines of http://www.carparts-...rchparam=m14 50 would do it i think, thats if im correct in thinking the standard skoda fabia wheel bolt size is m14 x 27? so that would allow for a 20mm spacer? dont hold me to that though

see the problem there is do they do locking wheel nut long bolts too? cos this looks like a cool idea

your measurements are correct so the lengths would be fine but it'd need to be tapered for a standard wheel. . .not domed.

i need some longer locking bolts so the other link helped me too :-)

In running some 20mm bolt on spacers! Bought them from Gee on here, no complaints from me and they don't catch :)

I prefer bolt through type. The bolt on ones are a nightmare when stupid wheel fitters strip threads!!

which do you prefer, spacer to hub then wheel to spacer or wheel to hub with spacer squashed in the middle?

Dont suppose anybody can see some adaptors for my Fabia 5x100-5x112 fitment 57mm bore, il be buffered if I can find them?

On another note that's the site I ordered my FK highsport coilovers from, received them today and they do look good bits of kit to be fair.

Gotta love a bargain lol.

those spacers are 20mm total on the axle so 10mm either side. If you want 20mm each side you'll need the 40mm total spacers.

these http://www.carparts-tuning.co.uk/en/Wheel-Spacers/Wheel-Spacers/Spacers-40-mm-System-A-fit-for-Skoda-Fabia-Typ-5J-Typ-5P-6Y.html?listtype=search&searchparam=Fabia%20spacer%20

or these http://www.carparts-tuning.co.uk/en/Promotion-sale-items/Wheel-Spacers-Promotion/Wheel-Spacers/Spacers-40-mm-System-B-fit-for-Skoda-Fabia-Typ-5J-Typ-5P-6Y-oxid.html?listtype=search&searchparam=Fabia%20spacer%20

there are also the system b as opposed to the b+ above, they are a little cheaper but don't have the steel thread inserts.

Might not be a big difference after you add the cost of the longer bolts. The bolt on spacers just save a bit of hassle getting wheels on and off. Provided they are correctly torqued up there is no reason either should be less safe.

They are the ones I was going to buy before these bolt ons came up.

JJC Race & Rally are basically Demon Tweeks although they will swear blind they aren't
