I think Massa will crash into Vettel, a racing accident of course while Webber will be trying to do the same with Alonso.

Hamilton will win in Brazil.

Interesting about the article above especially in the light of Vattel's radio transmission complaining rather hysterically about backmarkers when Hamilton overtook him in Austin.

Suspect Massa will develop that tactical gearbox problem again & a drop of the wet stuff may make it very interesting!

Roll on the 2013 season :thumbup:

Rain hopefully and Schumi to get a shock win. Alonso 2nd and takes the championship from Vettel who gets tagged by Hamilton.

(you just never know)

Great season. Bring on 2013

Well it's been a great season IMO. If there happens to be some rain tomorrow then it's all set for a great finish to the year.

Really hope next year can be as good, with possibly Mercedes getting nearly the front.

It absolutely was a cliff hanger - I was yelling at the telly so loud at some point SWMBO came over saying I am scaring the children lol.

It was an absolutely perfect finish to the already very exciting season. Weather stirring the pot marvellously (I can see why Bernie wants sprinklers on tracks ;) ). People driving with red mist over their eyes, amount of stupid mistakes and sheer bad luck. I was glad I was watching it live with two screens showing additional feeds from Formula1.com and BBC.

Kimi didn't dissapoint, I thought he decided to nip out for a quick shnaps to liven up the proceedings lol.

I feel drained today! I commiserate with Lewis, 5 DNFs in one season is diabolical really, especially 3 (4?) of them from the commanding lead. Had he had slightly better reliability he would be up there giving us a three way championship battle yesterday!

I am also gutted for Alonso as with such a dog of a car he was soooo close to getting that championship. I think he really deserved that DWC. If Ferrari doesn't start that horse prancing again he will leave at the end of next season I am sure.

Not taking anything away from Vettel, his drive was really hard core single minded relentless pursuit of the points. Having been hit first lap, with potentially terminal car damage and chasing the pack form the last position, having no radio, wrong tyre choice due to that he still managed to do just enough to clinch it. Michael helped me a bit along the way as well :).

Yes, roll on 2013 season! Can't wait what Hamster is going to produce at Mercedes with Ross.

Any more news on the new Turbo Era?

I think Vettel's has had a lot of luck this season and Lewis hasn't had much at all.

Agreed ^^

Any more news on the new Turbo Era?

3 engine manufacturers, with Renault supplying more. The PURE engine outfit is now defunct and Cosworth (who supply HRT and Marussia) are likely to bow out of F1 with the end of V8 rules.

That leaves just 3 manufacturers committed to the sport - Ferrari, MB and Renault - the latter already suppying Red Bull, Lotus, Williams and Caterham, and the rumour that Torro Rosso will switch from Ferrari to Renault in 2014.

Honda are still rumoured to be interested in supplying in 2014 but nothing confirmed yet.

Thanks

Great race eh?

Imagine the Lotus pit to car radio.

Engineer: Kimi - that's a cul-de-sac!

Kimi: Leave me alone! I know where I'm going"

That certainly threw tacticians of all the other teams - deeply thought through move!

As a historical note, Kimi had actually managed to find his way onto the old "full" Interlagos track.

I actually felt more for Kimi than just about anyone else on Sunday. Why? Because he was lapped he was so close to having completed every single lap of the year IIRC. Pretty sure I heard a couple of races ago that he had finished on the lead lap in every GP this year.

What a race! I'm not an Alonso fan in anyway and didn't want him to win the title but over the past 3 years I'd say he's the one driver to get the most out of the car he's been in, so he sort of deserved at least one of the 3. Kimi was indeed great this season probably back to the heights of his McLaren days - I feel he didn't actually drive that well in his title year.

Having met Vettel a few times he's a nice guy and don't begrudge him the championship (although maybe not quite deserving of a triple world champion tag just yet), was also good to see the ideal F1 pairing (in my mind anyway) of JB and McLaren getting the win. IMHO the Woking boys are best off without Lewis who without a doubt is one of the fastest (if not the fastest) and will wring everything out of the car he can get, just a shame his racecraft is lacking and the fact he's an obnoxious and arrogant git, it may actually end up being a good move for Lewis as he may actually grow up away from the sanctum he's had around him at McLaren since he was a youngster.

I hope JB/McLaren take this in to 2013 and bring the title back although it will need to be a damn good car to do so to give JB the title due to the off days he has when the car isn't underneath him, the constructors could be on though as I think Perez will settle in and develop well as the season progresses.

And yet how often have you head the message Red Bull Pitwall (to Sev V) "Seb, you can slow down now; you've lapped the rest of the field 3 times."? Part of the skill is is in knowing when and how much to slow down.
