I am considering replacing my bolero by the DNX521DAB to give my the reversing sensor, climate control data, DAB, etc.

I am just wondering if the unit will automatically display the reversing sensor data, climate control or whether you must have the maxidot (or any other option) installed for it to work as some Pioneers 2-DIN appears to require Maxidot to display these data.

btw, if you own the DNX521DAB, what do you think of the Traffic info? Are they any good?

AFAIK the Kenwood does not require Maxi-Dot to enable Climate and Sensor display, it will be programmed to work the same as your current Bolero.
