Anyone get me a new one at a good price? ;)

I just remembered that I'll need the vRS driver's side (I guess thats offside / Right hand?...) driveshaft a.s.a.p. I suspect thats the whole shaft, which includes the C.V joint? :confused: Need one inside 10 days, and prepared to pay good money for one to get to me quickish

Anyone work in parts / got good trade terms? ;)

vRS isn't in their list. :( emailed anyway, thanks for suggestion. Was just hoping someone worked in parts and could do a legit purchase for me. :D

No - they don't seem to hold vRS parts- Not done anything yet, but the PD130 engine/box/shafts/hubs/ECU/Dashpod/Keys/Ignition package coming to me is less the offside driveshaft which has alreadt been sold.

BUT, I've bitten the bullet and ordered one through my dealer -

surely it would be cheaper to buy a vRS J, whats the insurance going to be like on that? never mind the re-sale

So once you've got your new engine & everything working perfectly are you going to get it remapped/hybrid turbo etc? and what mileage has the PD130 engine covered?

Looking into other mods, while block is out in the open air. ;)

Mileage on vRS engine is only 7K, so is barely run in. :D

Excellent :) sounds good, atleast get an uprated turbo and a new FMIC whilst your at it :D, that way when you plug it all back in you'll have another 50-75 bhp and a similar increase in torque.

Everyone is being pesimitic on here, I know it'd probably work out cheaper just to buy a vRS but I think it's fantastic that someone has the nerve/passion to do something like this and the end result will be truly brilliant :D Good luck J :thumbup:

Hmm, you've got your current ECU chipped haven't you? What would I need to do to get it working on my TDi? Just plug and play?

BTW if you know someone with VAG COM or diag equipemnt Jason you wont need the key or have to change the barrel over.

LUMMOX! ;) Whereabouts in the country are you? :D

Would be nice to NOT have to rip my ignition out, plus salvage only has one key, whereas I have two. Any chance you could PM the "HOW TO" ;) for doing this. I could prob do it myself if I could get vag-com software and lead on to my laptop. :o:rofl:

Richard - I'm going to try and pay Jabba to move the chip from my current ECU to the new one, so the chipped ECU won't be available for sale unfortunately. BUT, as it happens, it is a dead easy thing to do - basically using VAG com again. ;)
