Got my new skoda octivia vrs 11 plate,playing about with that computer thingie in the dash ,pressed a few buttons,and now the windows won't go up if I leave them down when I lock it up.

When you say the windows won't go up I assume you mean they won't go up when you press and hold the lock button on the keyfob?

Looks like you need to go and play some more, you'll need to tick/untick a box I think.

That function needs to be activated with a VCDS, well mine did, thanks to Mike Holroyd

When I first received my new car, only one of the four windows went back up using the remote. I guess the dealership had the battery disconnected at some point which caused the car to forget the window positions.

Off of the top of my head, I think the solution was to close the windows, let go of the button, and then hold the up position for more than 3 seconds. This will cause the car to re-learn the window positions. It has worked fine so far, anyways.
