Guys,

My Octy 1.9TDi has a funny problem. When I open the car with the remote locking all doors open except the rear RHS door behind the driver. The small black barrel does not pop up and inspite of trying to open it with the chrome handle from inside it does not open.

Sometimes the black barrel does pop up and the door opens. Had been to the dealer but he has not done anything. Can you guys suggest a way to open the door card and then it can be checked.

search the forum, there are numerous threads on how to do this.

its the door motor mechanism thats likely to be faulty, you have to remove the car from the inside then break the motor out and replace as its deadlocked.

Unless you're lucky enough to get it to open for you

Easy job to do if you can get the door open!!
