Well thats helpful! Unlock button has stopped working on fob!

Featured Replies

Hi all, came out dis-morning and for some reason or another the unlock button has stopped working on the fob. Has been fine up to this point. What do we think it could be? I wouldn't of said its the battery because the lock button works with no issues.

Regards,

Damian.

Have you tried changing the battery??

All of a sudden came back on dis-morning! Has been fine all day.

may be dry joints on the unlock button, my dads did this so i split it and added a little solder to each joint on the button

Mine started doing this, now doesnt work at all. Youll find itll degrade over time. Never did find why its happened. I open it with the key and lock with the fob.

I've got a similar problem, in that neither button work. Went and bought a battery at lunch time, and it worked for three cycles of locking and unlocking, but then stopped again.

The red light does not even flash on the fob anymore.

The down side is that it now takes me an age to lock the car, as with the key the Central Locking will not activate when locking, but will when unlocking.

Any solutions would be gratefully accepted.

Cheers,

Sounds like an old key.... buy it a little box, pick a small patch in the garden..... i hate this next bit.......

lol next time you have the key open check the internals are all clean and free from fluff if that dosent fix it then might be worth a new one.
