Roomster Roadtest

Featured Replies

I dont suppose its the place to put it, but the roomster is a bit of a waste in my opinion. why does the world need a tall fabia? Whats its target market?! It looks like an attempt at a tardis, maybe it should be painted blue with police written on it. Or its a skoda van, next workhorse for small business electricians and plumbers?

why dont they design an Audi A2 equivilent, Octy coupe or Any Coupe Convertible (britain are the biggest country for buying these in europe)

The interior looks good though, but it wont ever look like that :)

Not having a rant - just airing an opinion :)

The roomster is going to be similar dimensions and platform as the new Golf+ (basically the Octavia floorpan). The Golf+ has a higher roofline and more boot space than the regular hatchback and is aimed at the Scenic market.

would put the golf+ to shame i recon cus of the golfs dull exterior *yawn* :)

Also VW are working out if they will go ahead with the Golf Coupe prototype seen recently. It has been rumoured this however will sit better in the current market with a Skoda badge on the front.

And look out for the 'Black' Special editions coming up to celebrate 100 years of Skoda. Black paint, piano black interior trim with grey leather. 16" chrome wheels on the Fabia version, 17's for the Octavia and 18's for the Superb edition.

Not thinking about tallness but if it is basically a fabia but bigger then it could have a target market of families who want a small car which is big enough for the whole family?

Its not a big Fabia, its based on an Octavia.

Didn't Skoda celebrate 100 years in 1995 ?

Wot engines in the 'Black'

100 years of the Skoda company in 1995.

100 years of motor manufacture in 2005.
