Opinions on Strut Brace Colour

Featured Replies

As some of you know (previous thread) my next door neighbour bumped my car whilst it was parked. After speaking to her she offered to cover the cost of the repair.

Car went in today and had the repair done. Whilst it was in there I took the opportunity to have my Seat Sport strut brace sprayed. I asked the guy to do it gloss black. the guy tang me at lunch time and asked if i wanted him to fit it, so i thought might aswell, saves me a job at the weekend lol.

But when I collected the car I noticed he had done the strut in Race Blue (I have an SE)

Now my problem, do I keep it blue? Or do I get it done in gloss black?

He said it was his fault as he forgot and has said he will do it black if I want it and won't charge me again.

This is how it looks now:

It's a resounding vote for blue at the mo, which is handy as I won't have to remove it then lol.

The eagle eyed among you may also notice the black coolant (and washer but you can't see) caps.

What do you guys think to them? Look ok or stick the blue ones back on?

Keep it blue, looks nice.

+1 for blue, sits well there, lots of other black bits to tart up IMO

Liking that alot, get a skoda motorsport sticker on it and will look top notch i think.

Keep the strut blue and the caps black.

Majority of struts i see are black, so nice to be different. :)

No what we say goes!!!!

the correct answer to any topic like this is; 'whatever YOU'RE happy with'. Whatever you think works. Cosmetic work to any car is down to personal preference IMHO

Totally agree. But it is nice to hear when everyone says it looks good.

I completely understand what you mean. The strut could be any colour really as it is not seen.

I'm going to keep it blue I think, and maybe a green or red Skoda Motorsport sticker.

Ill have a better look in the daylight tomorrow.

First I've seen 'colour coded' but looks really smart!
