so, the intake on mine, not sure which one it is (130/160) but it just doesn't look right to me. the picture below show it all really, I would have thought that the air should go straight and directly through the pipes, but it looks all higgledypigglydy to me. I have tried removing it and assembling it off the car but still just doesn't look 'air tight'

Or is that just me not knowing?

That's a PD160 intake and it's not clipped in right.

The rubber pipe should be flush to where that little arrow is.

Give it a wiggle and it should go on right,.

cant seem to get the inside part inside the outside, if you know what I mean. like it is too long?

Not a great pic but you can see the 2 parts sit flush.

I do remember it was a little difficult to get them to go together.

Just pull it up tight and put a large cable tie round.

Yeah just needs a bit of brute force!

Ok, so it sort of sits better now, I was thinking the two groves went into each other,

and the bottom two photos, is that what it should look like from the front going in?

Well now its pushed on correctly it`ll not look like that I should think. I dont think the gap at the bottom should be there, but now its on that`ll have sealed up.

Since fitting my PD160, i've always felt it didn't look right as well.

Maybe when they get older, they don't quite fit together as they should.

My PD160 is on right but I still think that the little lip should fit over the groove :-( it just looks queer.

is it possible, anyone with a PD160 intake could get a photo from the front with the bonnet up, looking into the hole and post it, see if it looks the same as mine?

Should I complicate things by saying you should get rid of the flap too

I've been tempted to remove the flap but decided to leave it there since I doubt it would be noticed

But yes I to think the PD160 intake looks stupid lol. Looks alot more manly than the 130 though!!
