Reconnecting Battery makes a diff on the Performance?

Featured Replies

Yesterday, while playing with Car's Electronics, the Horn went of and would not stop honking, so the only and last obvious remedy left was to disconnect the Battery, which I did and it did stop the horn. Connected the Battery a few seconds later and left it there.

Later in the evening, when I took the Car out for a drive, there was so much difference in the power output, it was literally flying. Speeds previously achieved in 3rd gear were achieved in 2nd now, and with what ease!

This left me wondering if the Car really performed that well or was it just me! By the way, I've had this same experience before, but just ignored it thinking it was only my expectation out of the car that left me feeling the Car was over performing. Could there be some kind of temporary Memory which regulates the power output by storing the data after having driven for some time, and the same memory being erased when the Battery is disconnected?

Just to add, the Car is remapped with a decent "Power" map.

Ok, that explains it, thanks. However, just to add on, the Battery was disconnected for not more than 5 SECS in my case, nevertheless, has worked I guess!
