Featured Replies

I am cosidreing a 1.9 tdi pd dsg with 121k on the clock but with full history ,ive driven it and seems ok ,any advice on what to double check for?? cheers

121K is nothing to worry about, as long as the car has full history it has many more miles left in it yet.

thanks mannyo i used to work for seat so know the pd engine well but theres nothing like advice off people who own one

Have no fear, as long as it's been well maintained then you have nothing to worry about. Mines just ticked past 142k, full dealer history, runs smooth as anything and it gets a good blast a few times a week :)

Thanks for that im pretty sure it ll be fine apart from the beige interior !!!

Hi and welcome aboard.

As long it has a full service history you should be fine.

When was the cambelt changed last? £300 to change it at a dealers......1.9PDs in seats (as you might remember) are every 4 years/80000 which ever comes 1st so guess it'll be the same in an Octy so it could be due a change? Looking on the forum the 1.9 seems bullet proof with 1 of the key things to check being that it's had regular oil changes with the correct oil, which from what you say has been done so jobs a good un. Apart from that usual mechanical stuff you'd expect on a car this age/this milage.

let us know how you get on

121k + FSH + drives well should = no worries
