I've emailed a few other garages about some others...and am going to try my local friendly Ford dealer and see if they know of any/can source any.

Who thought finding a Mondeo would be so hard!

Ok...so head ruled heart and I've put a deposit down on the white one. Only because they chased me and apologised about last night. It all hangs on whether the finance companies will give me the money. Heres hoping...

just saw it on auto trader, very nice looking car, i hope that you get sorted with the finance ok!

And to the poster above, it was indeed a dog vehicle. Google brings up some liveried images. No matter, still looks awesome!

At least they`ve been decent enough to apologise for ****ing about. I googled it too, looked wicked in the police livery, at least the paint should be in good nick lol. I`ll keep my finger crossed for you!

I like this Silver one with leather

but too long for me now that i am old and am hopeless at reversing.

Not happening. Finance companies said no. The guy said its probably because the mileage is so high. Ive decided to hold fire and save up some more deposit and then get a newer/less mileage one. Shame as would have been a nice Christmas present.

I'll just chuck something in here as I ran a Mondeo ST TDCI for 18 months and put 35k on it in that time.

They're very, very good cars for motorway cruising. For fast A and B roads? Forget it. They're great big lumps of a car with 18"s, a pretty underpowered (for its size) V6 and an ST badge on the back to make it 'sporty'.

And for what it'd cost to insure and run and you're thinking about getting it on finance, I'd steer well clear! For the money, a mk1 Octy vRS would be cheaper, more economical and quicker A to B.

All that said, I was recently looking to get another diesel one to replace my mk2 Octy vRS but the diesels command silly prices, build quality isn't great (was reminded how flimsy they feel when I went to have a look around one locally), there are some pretty rare options I'd have wanted and at the end of the day, its a Mondeo (albeit one that still looks better than the current model!).
