De Cat and MOT - not emissions related

Featured Replies

I think this will be a quick one, but i'll ask anyway. MOT time is due, De Cat is going to be fitted. Now i know the diesel isnt tested on emissions, but should a 'visibility' check be done by the tester? eg, if he/she spots there is now Cat, can it be failed? Just wondering how far a tester would go really...

well mine has had 2 mot's and different places with no advisory or fail. as you say. there isn't a MOT emission test for diesels ;)

NOT a MOT fail diesels DO NOT need one visually fitted.

Job done

END THREAD.

I know the emissions has been covered to death, but not whether one that should have one, doesn't visually. Thanks for setting it straight - LOCK DOWN!
