This morning the outside door handle was a bit sticky, anyway, I pulled it out and pushed it in again, it holds in ok and the springy resistance is still there. However after about 30 seconds of getting inside the car I hear a 1 off clunk from the drivers door and think nothing of it, the door then autolocked itself (pin moved down along with the others) as normal.

Then when I finish my journey and try to exit the interior door handle pulls with a normal springy resistance but it does not open the door. I exit the passenger door and try to the drivers door from the outside which worked fine. That's all the troubleshooting I had time for so I will have to investigate further and see if the interior handle is still playing up!!

Could the cable have snapped or become disconnected from the interior handle? Is the sticky exterior handle related or is that a seperate issue?

Thankfully this is now partially resolved and not as big of an issue as I thought it would be, when I got back in the car and tried it, it worked OK, so I think it must have been related to the intermittently sticky exterior handle, bugger me yet another issue and niggle to go with the rest...
