ESP Problem

Featured Replies

Hi All

The ESP warning light comes up sometimes a couple of times a day when the VRS CR FL is started up.

Dealer cant find any codes but it keeps doing it.

Any ideas???

Cheers

Dave

My dad has just experienced the same problem in his Occy. Does the light come on and goes off, or does it stay on - until you shut ignition on and off. I have been digging in different forums, and found out that it might be beggining of the end of ABS ecu. Common problem in VAG. It might also be problem with abs wheel sensor. Have a read about it here

Cheers for the info. The light just comes on then goes off after a short time. Its not just the bulb test thing, it stays on for quite a few seconds then goes off. Only does it now and again, twice yesterday.

U sure it is not the loss of grip that causes it?

The car is not moving at the time. It is just when it is started up and it says "Fault ESP" for a few seconds then goes out. There are no codes logged.

Any other ideas? Warranty ends in January !!! Is there an extended warranty availble?
