My fondness for all things shiny as got the better of me once more.

Whilst the Milltek Hyperboost valve is a lovely piece of engineering it just wasn't shiny enough so it had to go, bring on the new Turbo XS DV, I think you'll agree loads more twinkly bits on this.

Car is still running like a dream! Today i'm doubley chuffed As you can see I finally got round to fitting that Hybrid DV I bought from Impossible and have spent all weekend driving round like a loon and tweeking it until about 15 mins ago when i finally got it right! You have to gradually tighten the spring until it holds the boost correctly (it's 5.5 turns clockwise from zero setting if anyone is interested!).

Oh my God you thought the CAI was noisey! Wait until you hear this! I can't possibly imagine how loud a full BOV would sound (dont worry i'm not going to even try) if this is anything to go by! I'll try and get a sound clip done - you'll laugh!

How's your new DV - it's a piston type - the same as the Hyperboost isn't it? Can you notice any difference or not? What are you doing with the old one btw - maybe I could cross your palm with some silver for it when i see you next? I could do with a good recirc dv as a spare (just in case )

Glad to hear you're still enjoying the RS, yes I would like to hear the new DV and yes I probably will laugh. My new DV makes even less noise than the old one but you can shim this one. I'll hold on to the old HB valve cos it's served me well, just not shiny enough.

My RS is running a tiny bit more power now and is as quiet as ever, you won't hear me untill i've gone past. Still looks stock from the outside, badges apart.
