Just had fitted a used bolero and new BT phone kit in my 2007 mk2 Octavia (L&K). Everything works as it should.

Noticed the maxidot doesnt display the phone details when it rings. It displays on the bolero but not on the maxidot.

Do I need to do some extra coding to get it to display in the maxidot?

On my mk2 tfsi the maxidot displays the normal mfd features (av fuel etc) but when the phone rings it displays the details in the maxidot.

It's not a problem that it doesnt happen but i'm intrigued as to why it displays on one car but not on the other.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Is your Mk2 a FL or a pre-FL like the one you are having issues with?

It could be that the pre-FL Maxidot doesn't perform this function (or I could be talking rubbish)...

It won't display on a pre facelift, only on facelift maxidot

Only way to get it to display on older maxidot is by adding Polar FIS advanced

Does this mean that the communication between BT module & Maxidot is BAP only and that's the reason why it won't show?

Pre FL but I have the same set up in my pre FL tfsi and that works as described.

Which phone module was fitted, the newer ones use BAP to talk to the cluster which is unsupported on the pre facelift cluster. If you have an older BT module that uses CAN then it should work.
