Front Wipers not working (Back kind of work)

Featured Replies

Hi,

My front windows wipers dont work ( I had a quick search and couldnt find anything) When I flick the stalk up nothing happens, when i put the back on it works and when I pull the stalk for washers it's the back one which goes on?

Any1 know what may be causing this?

Cheers

It's the usual this time of year blown fuse for the washers, fuse 15 I think.

Just had the same problem. Will check and replace fuse and let you guys know how I get on. Thanks for the post

Check BOTH fuses

Had same problem the other day replaced mini fuse 15 (10amp) and put warm water in the washer bottle and over the washer nozzles and all was good

Well checked both fuses and it was Fuse 15, replaced and all good.

Thanks guys, that has saved me a few quid!!

Yeah my wipers worked but washers didn't, I didn't think water would have frozen presumed it was the motor took off my bumper and fiddled with it for a while only to realise it was frozen water in the bottom and the pump obviously wouldn't sook up the water

Glad u got it working again

Noticed now that my rear windscreen wiper works, but no water is coming out. Dam it! Another problem. Will this be another fuse?

Checked that it is not a simple fuse fix. There is power going to the motor (can hear it working) and it is using washer fluid, but it is coming out of the front of the car under the bonnet, by where you fill it up? Pipe come off or cracked? How do I fix?

Is it a trip to a garage?

There's 2 pipes - one in the engine bay by the bulk head or one in the arch liner by the fluid bottle. Easiest way to tell which it is, is to get someone else to spray while you check both locations.

If it's in the engine bay just clip the pipes together. If it's in the wheel arch, undo the lower 3 screws in the passenger side arch liner then hold the arch liner back and push together. No need to pay any one anything. :)

I guess a sticky/guide to the common locations with pictures could be useful, but I don't have a Fabia to do one any more.

Thanks will check both locations and get back on here, when done so tomorrow.

This any help ?

List of fuses and where to find them.
