AutoExpress Driver Power Survey

Featured Replies

A BIG FWIW! :D

Skoda drops two places: 4th to 6th, trailing Lexus, Porsche, Jaguar, BMW/Mini and Subaru (overtaken by Jag and Scoob).

Fabia drops from 3rd overall to 22nd. Octavia in 13th place. Superb wasn't part of the survey (yet). Skoda is best VAG scorer by far - best VAG placing in almost every category!

And some impressive category scores:

- build quality (Mazda6): Octavia 20th, Fabia 24th (trailing Hondas, Mazdas, Audis, BMWs, a Lexus, Jags, Mercedes and Porsche)

- reliability (winner: Jazz): Octavia 23rd (only beaten by Japanese cars, the Smart and the Ford Puma), Fabia a disappointing 54th

- practicality (winner: Jazz): Octavia 7th (trailing Jazz, Zafira, Picasso, Scenic, CR-V, Mazda6), Fabia 15th

- braking (winner: Mazda6): Octavia 17th, Fabia another disappointing 52nd

- comfort (winner: 9-5): Fabia 28th, Octavia 52nd (well, that's value for money for you!)

- gearbox (winner: S2000): Fabia 18th, Octavia 23rd

- steering (winner: Boxster): Fabia 27th, Octavia 40th

- ride (winner: XJ): Fabia 10th (trailing XJ, 75, 5-series, Mazda6, E-class, C5, IS200, S-Type and X-Type!), Octavia 24th

- handling (winner: Boxster): Fabia 27th, Octavia 31st

- and finally, performance (winner: S2000): Octavia 11th (trailing S2000, Impreza, S-Type, Elise, XJ, Mazda6, S60, Civic and MR2 - have all the Jabba customers been taking part? ;) ), Fabia 36th.
