Bloody Fuel Flap!

Featured Replies

It's only recently that my fuel flap doesn't seem to close flush any more.... :(

However it took me a few weeks to realise you have to push it in the middle to close it, otherwise your there pushing it shut and it will keep popping back open!

Has anyone else got this issue, or do I need to go and get it fixed?!

When you say middle, do you mean in the middle of the flap or on the left and in the middle?

I press mine directly over the sprung latch and it works fine.

The latch is adjustable though so it can be fixed.

Mine gets a little difficut when it's cold and if there is any ice build up around the small rubber bellow.

It'll only close if push right in the center of the flap, if I push it at the end over the "button" it wont close.

It's adjustable?? How do you adjust it....I was under the impression it's one single unit with a mini rubber boot to protect it?

You can pull the rubber off and spray the plunger/spring with Gt8 85
