.. Just would like to ak what the limits for the Octavia 11 would be , thinking of buying a boat and trailer, weight is around 2.25 tonnes( not sure if it is metric or Imp.) ,I am guessing the trailer is braked, it is a twin wheel axle trailer.

Is the Skud 1.9 man enough, or would I need to chip it for more grunt.

I don't know the exact figure, but the towing limit on any Octavia will be much less than 2.25 tonnes. Somewhere around 1.5 tonnes is the limit.

You're into the realms of a 4x4 or pickup truck to tow that.

Permissible trailer loads are:

1200 kg at max 12% uphill for braked trailers

1400 kg at max 8% uphill for braked trailers

600 kg unbraked.

,,,,just checked the ad, the boat is 907kgs plus trailer and kit, me thinks that is border line for my current car, which on the statistics is around 1170 kgs.
