I have both the ABS and traction control lights on and they do not go out. Can I fix it or is it a garage job

Its sounds like a abs sensor. Youll need a garage or person with vcds to workout exactly wich sensor if it is sensor. And is easy enougth fix. Can do it your self theres you tube vids to show you how too.
