  • Sounds great I have a red VRS too! Do you still have the receipt for the sponges and chamois? If so take them back You'll be wanting a wash mitt or two and a drying towel rather than a chamois. Als

  • What Dan said.... Won't be swirl free for long with those cleaning tools!

  • Congrats on the car. To be keeping it in the tip top condition its in you'll be needing 2 buckets, a good quality mitt, a couple of grit guards, some decent shampoo (meguiars gold class is good), A

Yeap its proper addictive not to mention expensive!!!

Can't beat a well detailed car though.....

Yeah dread to think what I've spent over the years since I found that site, but worth it once

It's all done

Yeah looks expensive Aswel from pricing all the different bits up!

Took her into work today and up onto the ramp for the first time. Gave it a good going over, Very impressed with the condition of it! Put a set of quality rear discs and pads on the rear as they weren't the best, then found that the OSR caliper piston was seized solid! Half an hour and about 1 litre of WD40 later.. All sorted! Going to order a set of 4 tyres tomorrow as they're all on around 2mm.

Old discs and pads

Have you tried sky insurance? There a sponsor for the forum, I rang them and I'm 21 with 3 years no claims, I pay £700 a year! One of the cheapest I could find

welcome Jakey1192, hope your impressed with your new toy, i bought mine end of feb, awesome economy and performance, i'm well pleased. happy driving.

Crumbs, I am 29 and mine is only £360 for the year, fully comp, no excess, 9 years NCD...

...Oh and mods declared!

I also add fully comp, no mods, no excess, nothing to declare 20+years accidents etc, maximum NCB, all extras added, courtesy car etc as 'GoCompare' site, offer.

Probably classed as a old dangerous fart, and on par to a 21 year old, a fearless pedal-to-the-metal speedster. LOL

Looking good, where'd you get the centre caps from?

i live in sheffield in a area where apparently is high in car crime etc.. so direct line wont even touch my area, im insured with admiral with two years no claims, 2crashes and 3 points..770 quid so i recon 1800 is fairly harsh regardless of areas unless your street is that compared to somewhere like Beirut lol. im also 21 by the way.

Looks good! I have the exact same centre caps also :)

Cars looks mint mate. Defiantly picked the best colour. Need to get some coilovers or springs on there though.

And id look at your insurance, i will be paying £780 when my renewal comes through. And ill be 19 with 1yrncb. Not to far from manchester either. Thats with my mum and missus on as named drivers.

Centre caps were from eBay.. I've tried everything I just can't seem to get it down anymore. Garaged at night, 2 years no claims, pass plus, dad as a named driver, 500 quid excess..!! :( what else can I try?

Nice looking car

Not sold on the dice valve caps though.

Everyone who is commenting on the insurance costs has overlooked the fact his location is Stockport...

As a former south Manchester resident, I can understand, its just what its like around there; I challenge all those people of similar age living down south do do a quote on his postcode with their insurer and re-post...

Thank you! But if anybody has any suggestions on how they think I can lower my insurance premium further, then please post and help me out!

manchester just as bad aswell ha! sky insurance said to me i cannot get forum dicount as im the bd postcode and not intitled to it :/

Car looks mint Pal also im in need for new mats! looks good love red.

BD and OL are pretty bad too. I lived M19 and sky wouldn't even cover me at 24...

Thank you! But if anybody has any suggestions on how they think I can lower my insurance premium further, then please post and help me out!

Try bell insurance. Do a ten month policy an you still get ncb.

Sounds too good to be true, I bet it's only valid if you stay with Bell.

That's where they grab you by the balls and then your stuck with them, they could charge what they like then.
