  • Sounds great I have a red VRS too! Do you still have the receipt for the sponges and chamois? If so take them back You'll be wanting a wash mitt or two and a drying towel rather than a chamois. Als

  • What Dan said.... Won't be swirl free for long with those cleaning tools!

  • Congrats on the car. To be keeping it in the tip top condition its in you'll be needing 2 buckets, a good quality mitt, a couple of grit guards, some decent shampoo (meguiars gold class is good), A

it is difficult to get decent price and cover for the younger drivers, i've got admiral multicar and i'm paying £480 fully comp with 19 years ncb, on a 06 fabia vrs, my stepson got clio 182 and he's paid £1300 with 1 year experiance, if i went with other companies i could get it cheaper. stay with admiral for another year.

Sounds too good to be true, I bet it's only valid if you stay with Bell.

That's where they grab you by the balls and then your stuck with them, they could charge what they like then.

Good job i did 12 months then. Haha. They were the cheapest company by about 1500 though and their part of the admiral group. 2 women on the policy drops it alot!

Thank you! But if anybody has any suggestions on how they think I can lower my insurance premium further, then please post and help me out!

Move by the sounds of it lol.

Nice car anyway.

Centre caps were from eBay.. I've tried everything I just can't seem to get it down anymore. Garaged at night, 2 years no claims, pass plus, dad as a named driver, 500 quid excess..!! :( what else can I try?

Lie to your back teeth, and give em' address from a postcode of relation/friend in low insurance postcode zone.

Never tried it as my postcode is in low a insurance zone, but had a friend working in London and he gave his parents address from down here in Cornwall as his home address.

This avoided paying London insurance premiums whilst he worked there.

It doesn't always pay to be honest ?? or does it, opinions please. LOL

I used to insure my focus st at my dad which was only a street away but was about £300 cheaper. Never had any problems, the car was registered to there too

I live in Worcester & car insurance there is one of the lowest in the country.

I paid £225 fully comp in Octotober & thats with 1 claim I made 2 years ago & protected NCB!

btw - I'm 38 though, which makes a BIG difference.

I feel sorry for young people trying to get car insurance - prices are an absolute joke.

Insurance companies claim that its because young people crash more often, while this (statistically) is true, they are still punishing those who don't crash or have accidents. So, I don't see why they don't charge a reasonable amount for insurance - say £500 - & just put the excess up to £2000. This method also has a positive effect on the young driver, as it will discourage a high percentage of these people to drive more carefully as they don't want to have an accident & have to cough up £2000.
