Mapped vRS TFSi

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Slight issue, my recently mapped vRS feels a bit flat, as if it's not boosting as strong as before. Also hearing a more audible woosh noise when letting off the throttle.

Any ideas to what this could?

Thanks,

Stu.

Which car stu , is it an earlier 1 , in which case the diaphram may be torn , common on earlier cars mate

Split diverter valve the usual cause

Hi guys, sorry forgot to put the details.

It's an 06 Mk2 Octavia vRS TFSI.

Split diverter valve? What does this part do?

Yep split diverter valve. You need the revised part. Any half decent tuner would have told you this when they mapped it.

Sometimes called a dump valve, you need a revision d type from the dealers £50, the new ones are bullet proof

Cheers guys! I now know what it is. Thanks for the info.

The mapping company did mention something about a valve upgrade due to more pressure, I'll be honest, I couldn't wait to drive it and wasn't fully listening. My fault, thanks for info guys.

Appreciated.
