Vrs tdi noise as if no airbox fitted

Featured Replies

Hi there got vrs tdi pd and gettin a noise from 1.5k reevs to 2.5 as if no airbox fitted or a cold feed turbo pipe has came off but no joy on anything, any1 else had that prob?

Tryed a intercooler pip they can tend to split or come off. My dad had it with his fabia mrk1 vrs.

No pipes split or came off its weird, fitted single mass flywheel and been there since , checked everything can't find anything had airbox ripped out it pipes taken off and put back on still there annoying as fook!!!

Couldnt be able to say then.

Single mass flywheel on the PD170.

I didn't know these were available, I thought only a replacement DMF was possible.

What's it like with the SMF fitted?

I can only echo what has already been advised. If it sounds like a rush of air then it has to be turbo related..?

It's like a new car would advise it to any1, euro car parts do the kit it's a Valeo kit, easy job also to do, I was lucky dual mass was close to breaking Into million peices, hopefully not turbo cars boosts no problems

Sounds like a split pipe that only opens at certain boost pressure.

I've had this on my old Mk1 vRS and on my Evo. Absolute pain in the ass to find:(.

Blank the system off and inflate with a compressor, you'll soon find it.
