iTunes help please!

Featured Replies

I recently joined iTunes and downloaded a few tracks. They are in a M4P format and when I burn them to a disc using Nero, my MP3 player in the car cannot play them.

I tried to use WMA workshop to convert them to MP3 with no luck. Is there a way of either specifying that the downloads are in MP3 format or converting the M4P files to MP3?

Thanks

Steve

Hmmm.

Seems the best way is to burn them onto a CD as Audio files and then rip them as MP3. Looks a bit of a pain.

Does anyone recommend any other legal download sites where the downloads are in MP3 format?

Steve

You could at least use a CDRW so you don't waste discs....

Thanks Jimmy, but I was trying to go legal on the downloading front. Most P2P sites now are full of rubbish - especially for new songs.

If you mean you downloaded the tunes from from the iTunes store they will be encoded with the Apple lossless codec. If you want to re-encode them you will have to burn them as an audio cd in iTunes and then re-ecode to mp3(not tried re-encoding one ive burned myself from iTunes download but should work)

Thats what I originally thought as you can see from the above mentioned thread, but it's not the case. The utils mentioned will convert itunes music downloads no problem......I have all mine in my car mp3 player now.

For those that don't wanna read the other thread, the util is at:

Kanske bara jag' date=' men jag tycker orginal stödet är för långt. Och med kommande motardfälgar blir det inte bättre.

Men det blir ett extra stöd som kommer anpassas till mina behov.
