Door Umbrella

Featured Replies

Just a piece of useful information for all those of you who may be missing your umbrella in a Mk1 Superb.

My Edition 100 was missing its brolly, so I've been looking around for a suitable replacement. The problems I've encountered have been that most that are as long as will fit have a hooked handle not straight; those with a straight handle are tiny 'handbag size' jobs; and a common theme is that the canopies of the smaller brollies available are so small they're pointless.

Enter Google; and after much research I found the answer; the Fulton 'Open and Close Jumbo'. It's about £25 from high street retailers like House of Fraser, excellent quality with automatic opening and closing (clue in the name there) and the canopy is a useful 120cm in diameter. It also fits neatly into the door pocket (still a little shorter than it could be, but long enough that it doesn't rattle around).

Result. And cheaper and easier than trying to find a genuine Skoda one.

EDIT: Thought it'd be worth including a link
