Is a Superb the same Superb everywhere?

Featured Replies

Hi,

sister-in-law has ordered a Mini at a dealership in London...they did a special LHD version as she wants to export it to Slovakia. The dealer offered her an 'Arctic' version, which is supposedly better suited for the cold harsh winter in Slovakia (also exported to Sweden, Norway, etc) and has thicker tubes, pipes, etc. So I was thinking...is there a different version of the Superb for Slovakia (mine) compared to the UK (many of you guys) to Australia (many of you guys down under) or to the UAE (very few of you guys...didn't see a single one when in Dubai...but there was a dealership!)?

Just curious...and what would the differences be?

Loads (and I mean loads) of superbs in Israel, so if you're right that there should be a different version, that would be the same one as dubai?!

Any Israelis got a clue?

Allmost every car manufacturer has different setups for warmer and colder regions. And life has shown that if a warm region car is used in cold region then it might not get warm as fast it should and is more likely to have electric problems.

We here have rather cold winters and alot of used cars are imported from France and Italy. Those cars tend to have more problems than those sold here or Finland or Sweden ...

It may be worth mentioning that the cars from France and Italy that have electrical problems in Estonia, have electrical problems in France and Italy too.. :)
