What turbo on the car?

Featured Replies

I was just wondering if there is any way of knowing whether the turbo I have on the car is a Garrett or a KKK? Or is it always the latter. Thanks

Ah CORRECTIONL don't worry sorry I just found this post!

Okay I will change this thread about a bit, if I haven't got a failed turbo yet, is it worth doing any prevenative maintenance (perhaps that isn't too difficult) that would make it last longer besides taking care ?

I saw the mr muscle fix for sticking veins but mine doesn't have any issues like that, yet anyway

Wonder if driving for good long high speed and consistent journeys helps as mine has been driven quite a lot like this (e.g. up to 80% of the maximum output),

not now I'm starting to get more increased slow traffic problems so perhaps a good run once a week at closer to full power could still be worthwhile...I am sure this kind of slow driving kills the car

Some go... Some dont

Wouldnt worry about it! Just use proper oil and keep to proper service schedule

Allow car to warm up before hooning and drive nice and slow for 1/2mile before you knock it off
