Hi, having just received a new Sony MP3 player for Xmas I've realised the media connection cable supplied with the car by the dealer has the wrong connection to fit my MP3 player.I like the idea of the media in rather than jack to jack input so that the MP3 player can be remotely operated by the cars audio system.

The connection cable I have is part number

AZO 800-001 and I need AZO 800-004.The 004 shows Jack to media connection.

Can anyone confirm the jack to media input will enable data to be shown on the cars music player screen and give remote control of the MP3 player?

According to website it would control it but this might only be forwards/backwards might be better getting a female usb.

I think the ability to show info, you would have to check mp3 player specs

Does it not have an SD card slot? Mine does and £3.50 later I have all my songs and albums controllable from steering wheel with track information etc.. on the screen and maxidot if I want it. No worries about anything getting nicked either or wires/cables. I'd recommend doing that if you can.

Edit. Just spotted you have a Monte Carlo so genuinely don't know if you have the slot.
