Sat nav instalation

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

Im looking to hard wire a tomtom satnav.

Since its mainly for the bluetooth handsfree Id like to have it as a oermanent fixture rather than digging it out of the glovebox every time.

Does anyone have any suggestions for where to put it that its reasonably out of sight from outside the car but still usable?

If you want it just for Bluetooth hands free just get a parrot ?

I already have the tomtom

just trying to figure out where to put it

get a Brodit drivers door pillar mount and either a hardwired or cig/lighter type Tomtom mount (obviously depends on your tomtom model )

search for " Brodit Skoda Fabia ProClip Right mount " I bought mine from www.dsldevelopments.com

I did just that (Brodit door pillar mount & hard wired) however this is easily visible & not exactly discreet so I don't leave the tomtom in the car when parked.

Not sure if this will meet the OP's requirements but it works for me & i find it much easier to live with than the tomtom windscreen suction mount

Thanks guys

The Brodit looks like it may be a good solution

Discovered that when the TT is on the windscreen even with the car parked with the engine off the the mic on the handsfree really struggled :(
