Cool cheers for the speedy reply, it's all the drugs I'm on as I'm quite Ill with the dreaded man flu that's doing the rounds.

Good luck getting it off! Mine wouldn't budge not even with a wiper removal tool!

Are you removing completely Lee, or just a repair?

Remove the wiper arm bolt.... spray with penetrating spray..... then work on the inside of the boot on those bolts... evey now and then popping to the outside to top up the spray.... by the time you are ready to rmove all the bolts on the inside the arm should just need a bit of wiggling to get it off.

Cheers for that mr sunroof. Il have a bash in a bit after iv walked my dog. First time iv been out in two days lol.

GRINDER................and nice thin grinding disc for cutting stainless steel.......

Just done mine and tried EVERYTHING..............

Soaked with different types of penetrating fluids and left overnight...........NO GO!!!

Used my wiper arm removal tool..........applied so much force that the top of the old brass tube collapsed and jambed even more onto the spindle

So ended up covering the rear of the car with thick cardboard/curtains...........then used a worn disc (because it is smaller in diameter) and cut at an angle through the arm/spindle

The stupid arm had corroded/welded itself onto the spindle..........after the grinder it came off and fitting the new arm and new repair kit bits to the motor/washer jet/tube....worked all ok and simple......

The inside panel just pulls off with some reasonable "persuasive" force. :)

Just to let you all know it went smoothly pulled my rear wiper off the spline easily not a bit of WD40 used either. I found it took longer to get the plastic bit off the tailgate, I'm surprised how well it holds on just with those little clips lol.

All done looks pretty good, surprised I left it this long to remove it tbh. Got to decide on de badging the tailgate also now.

What did you use to bung the hole?

i had a glass grommet on mine, looked the nuts.

The one I fitted is really similar it's made of acrylic, I'm pretty pleased with the uncluttered look now.

Didn't really like the wiper arm, and didn't fancy paying out for the slimmer polo variant either, bought one for my old Ibiza and coated around the £25 mark.
