  • this is tip j the smaller of the two ovals. best pic i have at the moment sorry.

  • Would love to hear avdrive by of that, cant wait till my 0 silcer is fitted and my car is up and running with the hybrid blowing through it.

If you've already got an exhaust and decat you may not need a new one. The piper one is a great fit, has a choice of tail pipe options and is really well made. Sound wise I have the 1 silencer an it is quite loud from outside the car, but inside its exceptionally quiet while cruising but makes a superb noise when you give it some beans. Not overly loud at all. The zero silencer option allows the Owl or pigeon noise on gear changes and I would imagine it is much louder on boost.

None of them will see an real performance gains, so it's just down to weather you are happy with your current exhaust sound

So is that the 5x4?

5x3" mate. in my opinion sits just right in the mould. didnt want it to big really.

Does look good like mate have a 6x4 atm and love that so i think id probs stick with that size just want to no how loud the 0 silencer system is as videos on you tube are pants realy

Another vote here for the 5" x 3" tailpipe. I ordered that one and it suits the car miles better than the twin 3" round that most people have - in my opinion of course! I feel the 6" x 4" is just a bit too big for the little Fabia, and dare I say it.... rather Scooby Imprezza esque....

I also have the zero silencer system, and can say it's not loud at all when cruising - barely louder than standard from the inside. It's not bad at all when it's properly on boost though! I still have the cat in place I might add...

Ive got a video up on youtube of my piper catback with 0 silencers and the twin tip, love it. Will post vid in a min

Not a great video but thats basically what it sounds like from behind, was gonna get a drive by vid but never got round to it haha

I love it mate, sounds even better once its warm

Awww, I use to have a Scorpion system with a oval tip, loved it. Now I`v got a piper with twin rounds and as great as it looks I really miss the single oval. Might have to get myself a new one.

Piper will sting you ~£115 for just a tip!

Has anybody got a vid at all off the full system wiv no cat or silencers or can tel me if its loud? And also do either off you 2 get the owl noise?

The decat and 1 silencer doesn't get the owl noise. I'll try to get a video soon :-)

We definitley need to hear these first hand. Surely removing a cat midbo and rear box is going to make the vrs sound like a tank?!

If it doesnt i'll be ordering the full shebang..

Im kinda after the straight through exhaust with nothing in there tbh and its £100 cheaper lol

The vrs dont have a mid box mate

Learning every day...

so the piper 0 box system wont have a midbox?

or does the system have a mid in it?

The standard exhaust dont have a mid box there is cat and back box buddy if you get the 1 box system it will come with a rear silencer no system will have a mid box as there isnt 1 standard

I assumed as much, so the 0 box system is essentially a £445 stainless tube from the turbo?? reaaallyy??

im thinking just get the decat/downpipe and mate it to the standard system.

Ye basicaly but there was also a discount on here for the full system think piper would do the full 1 for £400 job done bt my work also has an account with piper so gona make the call next week :)

As daft as it sounds, I'm not sure if mine makes the 'pigeon' noise or not.... So I presume no! I definitely can't hear it from inside the car if it does.

Please bear in mind that if you do de-cat, then you're best advised to get it remapped for that. As the guy at Shark said that the turbo would overboost otherwise due to the lack of restriction.

I think I'm gonna go down the de-cat in the near future and get my map tweaked.

  • Author

Yeah mines mapped for that etc so you have the 0 silencer system and the cat? And it aint 2 loud?
