Any ideas before i begin tearing it apart tomorrow ?

I had a similar sound on mine recently. Since then I've had replaced (in one go, during a service) - rear bump stops, a CV boot and, I think, a lower arm bush (garage receipt just says "front suspension" - can't remember exactly which). If your bump stops are OK (visual check should confirm this) then I'd guess at a front suspension bush.

Springs not sat right in the cups? Have they been removed recently? And not refitted correctly?

could have popped out with the car jacked right up i suppose

the track control arm bushes (console bush) used to make a similar noise on my fabia when it was damp/wet, other than that its anybodies guess
