screenwash

Finally got the Lidl stuff out of the system. I don't know if I got a bottle from a bad batch or something, but I've never seen any other brand foam like this. It wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't for the headlight sprayers covering the bumper and half the bonnet in foam that freezes and sticks on if it's slightly below zero.

Filled up with Lidl fluid diluted to 1:3. When the light came on the next time (1.5L left or so?) I filled it up with another brand I know doesn't foam. Still foamed just a bad. Ran that down until it was completely empty and poured 1.5L of pure water in there. Didn't help. Had to flush the entire system three times (pour in 1.5L of water, run sprayers until empty) before the foaming finally stopped.

I got the Lidl stuff this year. Dilute 1:4. No freezing down to the -6C we've had and no foaming.

Can't say it has the nicest smell but it works fine and is a bargain for £5.

Likewise. I've never had a problem with it foaming and as I've said before, have always found it to be good value.

All the best

Only slight foaming noticed from headlight washers with Lidl stuff which does not annoy me.. But isn't foaming the essential way a cleanser works? See pressure washers/ snow foam etc and your bubbly bath with Lily of the Valley stuff nicked from SWMBO.

The Lidl odour is almost completely dissimilar to lemon as can be. Maybe German lemons are something else?

If the roads are dirty enough to warrant washing the screen / headlights regularly then any excess foam produced is the least of my worries compared to the dirt, grit, salt, spray etc.
