Turbo questions

Featured Replies

Few questions to do with upgrading my pd100 to a pd130 garrett turbo hopefully someone can answer :)

1: what other parts am i missing from bolting the turbo on? I have the turbo(obviously), the red boost pipe and i think i may need the alloy intake pipe from the vrs? Can i use one off a golf/leon etc? Are they the same?

Will be purchasing new oil feed and all bolts/nuts/gaskets from darkside no doubt

2: can i run it without mapping? Obviously i know it wont run to nowhere near full potential, but i cant break/damage anything can i? Just whilst i get it mapped, my mechanic can fit me in next week hopefully as he's quite busy, but i cant afford mapping until payday :(

Any insight would be helpful please, im at a loss lol

Can run without mapping in short term, although you really should do it sooner than later. Should find the car is a "bit" faster even on stock mapping.

I have a PD130 intake pipe if you need it. Came from an Ibiza but will be right one for the PD130 on a fabia too. (i.e same as Fabia vRS) - Make me an offer for it. :) You might find ones from golf and Leon are a bit different due to different chassis but you never know.

Was hoping to have it mapped within the month tbh. Got the intercooler to pipe up properly and fit the egr/asv delete too. Need to source injectors still

I wouldnt know what one was worth tbh :/ will pm you all the same :)
