citigo finance deals?

Featured Replies

hi folks, is there any really good finance deals going on a new citigo anywhere? i'm seriously thinking about buying one early next year, probably a 5 door one in poverty spec. i can russel up a pretty decent deposit too

i cant figure out if its worth buying one to keep or doing that contract purchase malarky?

i used to do quite a lot of miles per year but now it's a lot less.

7.9% and 3 years servicing.

Should be able to get around a £500 discount if you play ball with dealers

My son used Skoda finance to get the 3 years free servicing.

He's really chuffed with his 5 door Elegance...

thing is though i could for example get a 5% apr from lloyds bank for a personal loan for that amount, i thought they would be bending over backwards to sell new cars

There is a saying, dont ask you dont get. Finance is set by vw finance and is the same across the range (best I think is 6.9%

Discount could be possible, not wanting to say too much as subject to confirmation but my discount is not far off the vat free offer on the rest of the range.

You won't get free servicing from Lloyds though and that is probably worth about £400 over the three years.

Ultimately you are paying for Free Servicing, someone has to,

so Your Personal Loan from Lloyds TSB or anyone else is the same as going with Cash to buy the car.

As a cash buyer you can ask for Free Servicing or a Good Purchase Price & if its not being offered, take your money to someone else.

Skoda, if you sign up to the financing, get free servicing, then pay it off early. :)

I like the idea of that, take out the finance then settle it early.. Just trying to weigh up the pros and cons.. It all depends on what deal the dealers can come to I guess.. Then all I need to do is convince swmbo. I did the old subtle thing when you drive past the dealership and say "ooh look at that" and she was like " yer I know, old farts with seat covers made of beads and a golden retriever drive cars like that"... I need to get my thinking cap on I reckon.

I wonder how long this free road tax bubble will last too? Too many cars do it and the government will just end up moving the goalposts again so to speak.

Well the rumour was 2014 London congestion charge will drop its free tax to 80kgm and road tax will follow suit the year after

That would leave approximately 6-10 models that qualify as opposed to excess of 100

They did the same when unleaded came out it was 10p per litre cheaper and diesel was 15-20 per litre cheaper than 4star

LPG was dirt cheap as well and that shot up I think it was 21p per litre

I'll be interesting to see if they backdate the VED, as major changes usually result in the rules applying from then.

Take March 2006. Before then the worst CO2 cars are still far cheaper than afterwards the bands were extended and increased in price.

No idea if this effects anything,

just posting the link.

I have been at a local SEAT Dealership this week,

they are very very keen to get a sale or order for a sale, the offers might just swing things.

pleasant, helpful, no hard sale,

just a relaxed comfortable experience of looking to order a car they way i want to get one.

still a sales technique, but changed from the old days,

so different from my nearest Skoda Dealer who seems to think they are

doing me a favour by trying to screw every penny from my tight fists.

The usual old skool sharn that you always seem to get from them IME.

Fortunately, not all Skoda dealers are the same. :)

Fortunately indeed.

Sadly, here the 3 nearest Skoda ones are now all owned by the same Group,

Luckily there are plenty of others about.

I was going to say, Ive not had that issue until today.

Went in to Marlborough in Isleworth about the citigo. Staff to busy watching something on the internet to even bother saying hello, got fed up of waiting so walked out.

That was marlboroughs last chance, last time the salesman agrued with me that the 1.8TSI had a 6 speed dsg when I said it was the 7.

Wont be returning again.
