Mk2 vrs coilovers ?

Featured Replies

What are the best 1's when your on a budget ? And where is cheepest to get them ?

If you're on a limited budget then I would avoid coilovers and go for springs and dampers. You get what you pay for with suspension, especially coilovers. Do a search there's plenty of info on here.

Got about £400 to spend if that helps

Touch more expensive than 400 but Weitec GTs are currently top of my list.

Again a little more expensive then your £400.00 budget but the AP kit is a very good option.

Why are the kits so expensive ?i can get coilovers for my current car for around £200

And that's not the cheepest.

Sorry if ur confused but I'm currently perchasing a mk2 vrs

As above, you get what you pay for with suspension.

If you want cheap, i think jom do some for £200. Or H&R springs etc for sub £200.

Why are they so expensive? Its a mk5 platform which is very popular. Big following in the states, europe, china, japan etc.

Supply and demand. People want it so they pay it, end off.

I do see your point as other makes are cheaper.

Personally I would not go cheap, stick with a good make.

We have the JOM kit for £180.00 delivered so cheap kits are available for the Octavia 1Z but as mentioned you get what you pay for.

Buy nice or pay twice.

I had the Ap coilovers. They were pretty good in Germany, but horrific when i moved back to the UK, so i took them off.

Id maybe save for slightly longer and get the Bilstein B12 suspension kit. That will run rings around all the mid range kits, yet still maintain ride comfort
