According to page 16 of the user manual, I should have a `rocker switch` on the end of the wiper stalk in order to activate various functions. Well I do not have such a switch. Has anyone else noticed that?

On later/higher spec models, the functions of the rocker switch were moved to the scroll wheel/button on the steering wheel. Don't worry - you're not missing any functions.

As Ned has pointed out, the rocker switch function is on the right hand scroll control on the steering wheel. Rotate up/down and press in for select.

And there's me thinking I had the very latest manual.

I think you have the latest manual. The switch you are talking about is still there on vehicles without MFSW.

Yes and no is the answer. The manuals are always being updated according to the MY changes. The manual will be up to date with respect to YOUR car but will have no doubt been superseded a few times as new and updates features are added.
