Phil, a TMC connects to the boost sensor, intake temps and cam position, it directly increases boost, and alters the timing, and safely watches the intake temps ;)

Arnt u thinking of the old resistor type boxes that just dump fuel? A TMC box is effectively a piggyback ecu :)

Ah right. Didn't know that.

I'm thinking of the tuning box I had on my car. It just connected via the fuel line loom so all it could do was inject more fuel.

They've obviously moved on a bit since.

I would still have a remap after trying a tuning box myself. But you can't knock the bang for buck you get from a box!

Think i'm going to go the remap route :)

Well just dont throw tuning box out window. Add one to the vrs and its a good so thought same company should do pretty well on others. Fiat fans love these as far as im aware
