Featured Replies

Got it yesterday, ESP, Cruise and Black pearlescent. Can't stop smiling :D

good on you. Its a downside to owning a skoda - an inane grin for at least 1 year of ownership

Welcome :P

Was wondering how best to run her in, any opinions??

dont go above 3500RPM and dont put yourt foot down (not that you have to to get going) for about 750-1000kms then be a little gentle for another 1000kms... And wait till it warms up too... All the obvious stuff really.

Enjoy

Hello and welcome !

Just wanted to voice my opinion. New cars or not, wait until the oil warms up and drive it normally - all the time. Handling them with kid gloves for 1000 miles or whatever will not help there case when you start driving it hard.

it needs bedding in properly IMO.

I battered mine from day 1 - it is up to you, but i wouldn't recomend feathering all over the place.

Thanx chaps, still unsure though, i like the sound of battering it from day 1, but think it would be best to stay on the safe side for 1000kms, if i can control the urge that is.

its hard to keep from blowing away the opposition when the national speed limit sign comes up!!
