sure is, that is just the base spec I was tempted to go to the SE spec but the car is expensive enough so I'm still thrilled to be getting one Was thinking of getting octavia too but the size of the superb won me over very nice cars

Is that a second Skoda Logo on the front of the bonnet?

If you find the power is a little low once you've become used to the car, don't forget you can get a re-map of the 1.6 CR TDI engine which both improves fuel efficiency (around 10% better in my experience on a 2.0), and boosts power by about 40% - to around 150 PS. Lots of links on here about doing this, round hear it's a 2 hour job and costs about £300 - money well spent in my book.

That's all I would consider by way of 'updates' - keep it simple!

it was a blue sticker on the protective wrapping dident say anything on it take it it will come off when the wrapping is getting removed and look forward to getting it on the 21st of this month!

All and all, superb is already 5 years old and nothing has been done to it. So I`m not impressed anymore.....there`s nothing actually wrong with the car but time flies.....

And does anyone know about the pulse wire cause I don't think the superbs have them, and how do you get about fitting them for the meter??

Edited by racing boy

Easiest way is to ask another taxi driver. Down here, probably 25% of taxis are Superbs (50% Octavias and 25% Mondeos pretty much make up the rest.)

Any taximeter fitting company will know what's involved.

And just asking what does everyone think of the superb driving around town parking it in bays ETC and what is the visibility like cause on my school contract run the Bays are quite tight and there is a massive wall behind the bays and you have to get quite close to it to get the car out of the way of oncoming cars? (My car will not have Parking sensors)

Nice colour of car. Looks like Henry's skoda Glasgow lol.

You will find the Suberb is a narrow car for its size so it will go into bays ok that way but as you can see from the picture you posted above there is an overhang in most parking bays. I wouldn't want to be without my parking sensors tbh as it can he hard to judge were the back end is , or i might have become lazy and just find it so much easier to use the beeps now :)

As for meter fitting there is a superb taxi parked up in Tesco's in Wishaw most of the time, it might be worth a chat with him ?

Yeah, I was really surprised by this! I play keyboards, and my usual 88-note stage piano could fit across the back seat of my Mondeo (even fits across my wife's Focus)

But no way in the Superb. Really surprised by that! (might go and post over in the 'Most annoying things' thread!)

Visibility is pretty good, but if the bays are not overly generous then there is no way the Superb will fit in them, I would say that in at least 95% of them the car overhang the bay.

You may regret not speccing parking sensors (they cost less than a bumper re-paint)
