I'm currently clearing out the garage and wondered if it's worth keeping the faulty KKK turbo. All the impellers are smashed to pieces but the outer case is in good condition.

Is it still fit for the bin?

NO - someone will buy it as a hybrid donor. Can be rebuilt. Definitely not a bin job. :thumbup:

I doubt anyone will offer you any warranty after it's re-built/hybridized.

For the sake of £200 when you are spending another 500-600 (rough hybrid rebuild price) I'd start with a Garrett unit.

Has anyone on here ever re-built/hybridized a KKK unit?...

I would think it would still be worth £50 or so as a donor.
