Featured Replies

Hey sorry if this has been asked many of times I'm

Geting my octavia at the weekend 08 plate vrs cr engine , I was told those engines are better to tune , anyways my old pd vrs I cut dpf removed filter and got the map was happy with that performance :) so do I just go down that route again remove dpf and map please help wanting the best performance I can get cheers lads and lasses if there's any lol

They're no better to tune than the PD170. You're looking at 204bhp and around 310lbs from a stage 1 for both.

I wouldn't rush to remove DPF at time of a stage 1 unless you really want to, I haven't seen any big issues with them like the PD's had. As I understand it too the DPF is in a different position and may not be as easy to get to as on the PD.

Jonno did you have DPF delete on your CR before you got rid?

CR DPFs literally clamp onto the turbo outlet port and run vertically down the back of the engine. Don't know if that makes it easier in terms of position or harder in terms of the connection to the turbo.

No I never went down that route, would have been a bridge to far for me. It never caused me any problems either. I have a dyno of my remapped CR so if you want it PM me your email address. It's in pdf format hence I can't post it up.

Does a Shark stage 1 remap on a cr170 vrs give you a extra top speed/acceleration if so what?
