60,000 miles up!

Featured Replies

Wow! She's clicked over to 60,000 miles this weekend. Apart from a few minor niggles sorted under warranty 3 years ago ( except for the dreaded Fabia off side rear 'clonk' when turning right ) have had 3 years and around 47,00 miles hassle free motoring. The osr door often needs pulling twice to open after being centrally locked - the only warranty issue that has recurred.

Absolutely no other faults ( bulbs and filters excepted), comfortable for 4 adults, quiet and economical for a 1.6 petrol as well as reasonable insurance costs.

See photos below - 42 mpg over 98 hours and 3272 miles.

This will be the year to sell and buy either a Yeti 1.2 (manual SE+ or Elegance to get the spec I want) or a Golf Plus SE 1.4 petrol as my mileage will be less than 10,000 per annum from now on.

These are spectacularly good little cars and I heartily recommend them to anyone who needs a car of this size. As previously mentioned on Briskoda, both my sons have Mark 1 fabias as does a neice. Also a nephew has a Mark 2 estate. They all took my advice and steered clear of the problem models from other manufacturers out there especially as I'm often called on for car advice when they go wrong as well as regular maintenance which is a breeze on Fabias.

Not too hot on adding photos to this post - can you see the mpg detail?

Roll on the Yeti or Golf Plus.

I meant to post this in Fabia 2 section can a moderator move it, please.

Yeti will be a nicer car than a golf plus thingy. Good mpg over that period.
