Scotland workshop use of

Featured Replies

Is there anyone in Scotland (I am in West Lothian) who can help out with the use of a garage to allow me to do my brakes. My single garage is too small.

Car has failed MOT need to do all disks and a caliper, working outside at this time of year may not be a good idea.

Trying to avoid high garage costs, hope someone can help.

Thanks

Well, it may come that, remember this is Scotland and the weather is pretty miserable,

it would be good to have a dry place to do this work.

Did mine last week on drive in the rain! (Scotland)

Man up! Its a couple of hours job max

have no fear lad, lol, cant tell you many times i've been in a puddle fixing the motor, then afterwards a nice cup of tea and a shower. job done

Right, I had better be quiet, as I have a garage, but I have to confess changing my pads and discs outside last time around. If space is a premium could you not park tight up on one side of the garage, do one side, and then turn the car around and repeat).

You guys are fast workers, I reckon for me it will be about 1.5 hrs per corner and that doesn't include any problems or fitting a new front caliper.

Oh well sounds like the consensus is to get on with it, not looking forward to it at all, I may just bite the bullet and get the garage to do it

Any sympathetic soul with a nice garage I could use let me know.

Put a gazebo over it if you dont want to get wet

i would help you out but little too far for me

I would say 30mins a corner pressing on and 45mins a corner taking it easy....

And an extra 10mins for caliper change and bleed

Scots should be adapted to the environment anyway you Mary, get on with it ;)
